Living life on the road with your dog brings unforgettable adventures โ€” but also a few pesky problems, like fleas and ticks. If youโ€™re traveling full-time in a van, you might be looking for a natural, affordable, and eco-conscious way to protect your pup without relying on harsh chemicals.

This homemade flea and tick repellent is simple to make, safe for dogs, and perfect for outdoor living. Iโ€™ve been using it during my own van life journey, and it gives me peace of mind knowing my dog is protected โ€” without synthetic sprays.

๐Ÿพ Why Go Natural?

Many commercial flea and tick products contain insecticides that can be irritating to your dogโ€™s skin โ€” and even harmful with long-term use. Natural alternatives, when used properly, can help deter pests without the downsides.

This DIY spray uses essential oils that fleas and ticks dislike, while being safe when properly diluted.

Living close to nature is one of the best parts of van life โ€” but it also means being mindful of what we expose our pets (and the planet) to. This simple spray is one of my favorite small switches that supports a natural lifestyle while travelling.
